I am sure we’ve all heard the saying before that a picture paints a 1000 words, or is it thea picture says a 1000 words what ever it is… The question still remains where do you get ‘that picture‘ that will enhance your content?
I am a great fan of using graphics on my websites – it helps my readers to engage at a glance with the post or article is about. I use pictures to break up the content and give the reader a breather and I use images to invoke an emotion or even as a call to action. So in my opinion images play an essential part in the make-up of my blogs.
Where To Get Instant GraFX ?
When I first started out I was grabbing graphics from websites such as shutterstock.com or istockphoto and other picture banks. But that does get kinda expensive especially when you have more than a couple of sites update daily. With the picture costing around $1 you could easily spend $30 – $50 a month on graphics with no real ROI to show for it…
These days rather than buy my graphics I prefer to create my graphics where ever possible. I do tho for 3 main points

- It’s far cheaper to create your own pictures or banners than to buy from stock or get ‘em done on fiverr
- It’s a lot more satisfying to make your own pictures, and the more I create the easier it gets and quicker I get
- It’s fairly easy to rank your own unique pictures for the keywords content in your post
There are three main tools that I use when I create graphics for my websites. Two of them I have spoken about before. The logo creator by Marc Sylvester, and snagit by tech smith which I mention on the tools page. However its another online piece of software, a picture tool that I use for my pictures that I want to show you today.

Instant GraFX
Product name: Instant GraFX

Product type: Header and Banner creator
Price: $37
Owner: Tony Stevens
Straight off the bat I have to say that Instant GraFX is one of the easiest programs I’ve ever use for creating any type or size images. Instant GraFX is based on easy drag and drop to keep everything as simple as possible. Even though it’s called a banner and header creator, theres a ton of flexibility built in, which means it’s perfect for any type of image you want to create quickly.
Importing images to add to your banners and headers is as you’d expect made simple bytes click of a button. Browse your hard drive and upload and resize images quickly and easily. To make things even simpler, you are able to manipulate your laters easily to achieve just the look you want.
If you need a bit of a prod in the creativity stakes there are loads of templates to choose from, alter their colour or any element within so you can create the banner you want.
Do have a quick peek at the demo I’ve made of where to get the perfect picture for your website.
