If you have not heard of John legend you’re in for a musical treat, however if you had heard Mr Legend - what is it he teaches about affiliate marketing works?
…To be fair I’m not even sure that John Legend knows anything about the affiliate business, however whilst ending my grind (personal shit) one of the tracks I listened to was a mix of John legend that really reminded me of the affiliate journey.
And whilst I think about ‘Ending The Grind I want to say a massive thanks to Steve for helping me hold things together.

The one thing that I love about making money as an affiliate is that it’s something that ‘ordinary people’ can do to really change their lifestyles.
Now going back to John Legend, it was the lyrics in the chorus that reminded me of how smart affiliates approach online marketing. Then there are lines in the verses that remind me of how I feel when I create a website..
It gets more confusing everyday google changes, Sometimes it’s heaven sent keywords! , rise and we fall in the serps, and we feel like just walking away tell me about it!
There’s loads more strange associations my mind has made with the John Legend track ‘Ordinary People’ and affiliate marketing. So I’m going to sum up my main takes from what John has re-inforced about the affiliate business model - Which is essentially getting a commision for recommending someone buy something!

It’s a simple business model as our job is to guide people into making a choice. Ordinary people come to our affiliate websites, they are not quite sure which way to go with the product choice.
Our job as affiliates is to “build a rapport” don’t sell fairytales, tell things as they are, be honest and gain a little trust and credibility.
It’s pretty easy to follow the steps delivering the online info they’re looking for. The to be honest it’s something you do have to learn… Those that don’t bother, take short cuts, or follow the “latest trend” which I sometimes waffle about here, soon crash and burn.
